DONNA VALIANT
Occupational Health Physiotherapist, Ergonomist
Donna Valiant is a physiotherapist with over 20 years experience. She has been working in the field of occupational health and injury management for the last 13 years and has built CIM, over the last 10 years into a thriving and successful business, helping workplaces manage the health and wellbeing of their employees.
Donna graduated as a physiotherapist in England and later studied in Australia in the field of ergonomics, giving her a wide range of knowledge to assist employers in managing workplace health and safety. She has also worked in an advisory role for WorkCover Queensland and currently liaises with QComp on rehabilitation issues as a representative of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). Donna is an active member of the APA and represents her profession in the field of occupational health at a national level, liaising with peak bodies and promoting her profession.
Donna is a leader in the education of physiotherapists in this emerging field, both at an undergraduate and post graduate level. In 2005 she was presented with the Award for Excellence by her peers for her commitment to her chosen field.
Her passion is broadening the field of physiotherapy into the occupational setting and letting industry and insurers know that physiotherapists do this stuff really well!
When she does relax, it is over a good book and a nice glass of red.

MARINA VITALE
Senior Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Consultant
Marina is a physiotherapist who is able to draw from more than 20 years of experience across an extensive variety of medical and surgical conditions from in-patient to the working environment. Since 2006, Marina has been working in a wide range of industries and insurance settings and has developed exceptional case management and negotiation skills. She is passionate about the prevention of work related musculo-skeletal injuries and enjoys manual task and ergonomic training.
Special interest areas include productivity and health, work behaviour, injury management strategies and She is a member of the Occupational Health APA sub- committee and continues close ties with the University of Qld Physiotherapy undergraduate learning in the field of Occupational Physiotherapy.

AMANDA RUSSELL
Physiotherapist, Rehabilitation Consultant
Amanda is an Accredited Physiotherapist with 6 years clinical physiotherapy experience in hand therapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, paediatrics, orthopaedics and spinal rehabilitation. For the past three years Amanda has worked in the Occupational Rehabilitation field. Amanda’s experience within this industry has included complex case management of physical and psychological injuries; development and intervention of injury management models; tailoring and delivering preventative health services; tailoring manual handling training; worksite assessments, ergonomic assessments and pre-employments. Amanda contributes a broad knowledge to the CIM Multi-disciplinary team.
Amanda is looking forward to developing her skills further in Workplace Health and Safety in the near future.

CORY TOATOA
Physiotherapist
Cory graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in Dunedin in 2008, and worked in the private sector for three years. After working for a year in Wellington and then in Canberra, she finally decided to move to Queensland (a much warmer climate).
Cory works with both the Health team and Disability Employment Services team at CIM. She works as a clinical physiotherapist, and treats a variety of different people with the aim of getting them back to work. Her skills include manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, work hardening, pre-employment screenings, and functional capacity evaluations. Cory runs a gym rehabilitation program at Crestmead which incorporates Hydrotherapy programs also.
Cory has a strong interest in health promotion and healthy lifestyles, and believes it is extremely important to stay active!

JUDY DUNNING
Physiotherapist, Ergonomist
Judy received a Bachelor of Physiotherapy - University of Queensland and swiftly followed this with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies (Manipulative Physiotherapy) from the University of Queensland. She has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics.
Judy has 10 years experience in injury management, working with CIM Health since September 2001 providing occupational rehabilitation services including manual handling training; worksite assessment; return to work and injury management programs; suitable duties programmes; on site injury assessment and treatment and pre-employment screening.
She also has been a Case manager, WorkCover Qld from May 1999 to August 2001 providing active case/claims management for injured workers and has a wide range of case management and early intervention services. She now works contractually with CIM.
Judy is also an accredited COMCARE provider and a Workplace Assessor and Trainer.

JOANNA MAHON
Exercise Physiologist
Jo is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who has been providing exercise rehabilitation programs for the past 3 years. She has worked in a number of different settings including hospital, mining and private health providing healthy lifestyle management, developing and implementing rehabilitation exercise programs for a range of conditions such as musculoskeletal, metabolic, cardiac and general deconditioned populations.
Jo will be involved with functional capacity evaluations, pre- employment assessments, pain management, and gym rehabilitation programs @ CIM Health and is looking forward to developing her skills and knowledge in occupational rehabilitation.

KATRINA HUMPHRYS
Registered Psychologist / Rehabilitation Counsellor
Katrina Humphrys is a registered psychologist who has been providing psychology services to organisations for over 4 years. Katrina has completed a Bachelor in Psychology (Hons) and is currently completing her Doctor of Philosophy in Organisational Psychology.
Katrina has broad practice experience working with clients with mild mental health issues. She has specialist knowledge working within psychometric assessment for employment purposes and working with employees with occupational stress and strain issues.
Katrina’s areas of interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety, work related stress, and work-life balance issues. Katrina also possesses training in initial needs assessments, vocational assessments, psychological assessments and adjustment to injury counselling.
Katrina is an Associate Member of Australian Psychological Society (APS).

CASEY WHYTE
Rehabilitation Counsellor
Having completed her Bachelor in Human Services, majoring in Rehabilitation Counselling Casey started working with CIM as a Rehabilitation Counsellor in 2007. Because of her warm and empathetic personality she builds rapport easily with her clients and has excellent case management skills.
Casey currently works within a casual capacity while completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy – University of Queensland. She is looking forward to expanding her skills and abilities within the field of Occupational Rehabilitation.
Casey is a Member of Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australasia (RCAA).

MICHELLE ALEXANDER
Psychologist
Michelle Alexander is a registered psychologist who has been providing counselling services to the community for over 5 years. Michelle has completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons), Psychology and Bachelor of Arts, Psychology.
Michelle has broad practice experience working with clients with mild and severe mental health issues. She has specialist knowledge working with children and adults who have behaviour management issues.
Michelle’s areas of interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, work related stress, developmental delays, family breakdown and other emotional issues. Michelle uses evidence-based therapy such as cognitive behaviour therapy and motivational interviewing to improve the quality of people’s lives.
Michelle is an Associate Member of Australian Psychological Society (APS).

TIM BLACKWOOD
Business Manager
After spending two years traveling, Tim returned to tertiary studies to undertake a Bachelor of Applied Science at Monash University, completing it in 1993.
Since then, he has gained more than 15 years experience in management and finance.
Tim’s role within CIM is financial management and business growth. He also likes to encourage everyone to continue to be fit and healthy with support for gym memberships and the start of the corporate triathlon program at CIM.
He has a tough job but someone has to do it.

RACHAEL PEEBLES
Office Manager
Rachael joined the CIM team in May 2006 with the opening of the Beenleigh office. With her knowledge and expertise from accounting and business courses and prior employment positions, Rachael’s focus is on the company accounting, Information Technology and coordinating the administration duties within the office.
Focusing on returning to study and gaining greater knowledge of the industry, she is keen to grow with the company and gain new experiences.

BELINDA KEENAN
Business Development Officer
Belinda has worked on and off for CIM over a number of years and has a background in a number of areas from marketing, advertising, accounting, administration duties to childcare, shipping & customer service. Belinda recently started a full time role with CIM in October 2009. She worked as an Administration Officer for 6 months before moving into the role of Business Development Officer for the company.
HAYLEY FRASER
Administration Officer
Hayley is new to the CIM team, coming from a background of Administration and Customer Service. Hayley has a range of skills which include administration duties, event management, marketing and promotional services. Hayley is looking forward to starting a long and successful career with CIM.

SUSANNE MCFARLANE
Trainee Administration Officer
Susanne MacFarlane graduated in 2009 with an OP5 and a completed a school-based traineeship in Cert 3 Library and Information Services. After a year working in a Real Estate office, she started a Traineeship in Cert 3 in Business with CIM. SM hopes to complete her traineeship next year and explore further training and University education opportunities in the Rehabilitation field.
